Jardins de Bagatelle is part of Guerlain’s Legendary fragrance collection. A collection made of emblematic fragrances, composed for more than a century by 5 generations of Perfumers. These mythical pioneer perfumes compose a unique olfactive library, that the Maison Guerlain endeavors to preserve.

Jardins de Bagatelle is for women who always perfume themselves for the pleasure of seduction as well as for their own pleasure and enjoyment. These gardens are redolent with a multitude of white flowers, varieties of rose, hyacinths, daffodils and narcissus of exceptional luminosity, to the great delight of anyone who loves nature.

Designed by Raymond Guerlain, its iconic “inverted heart” bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau. Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, evokes the delicate romanticism of this perfumery masterpiece and represented a real technical feat at the time.

A legend of hedonistic love, radiating with neroli, tuberose and jasmine

A bright, luminous and airy essence, Jardins de Bagatelle is a sparkling fragrance. At its heart you’ll find a veritable bouquet of white flowers (neroli, jasmine, gardenia) celebrating the joyfulness of life, while the base note centres around the poisonous tuberose flower and woody notes.

NEROLI

Neroli essence is obtained by distilling orange blossom. It is a fresh floral with green and citrus accents.

TUBEROSE

Hand-picked mainly in India and too delicate to travel, tuberose flowers are made into a concrete and an absolute on site. As an absolute, tuberose reveals floral, sweet and spicy facets.

JASMINE

Jasmine grandiflorum absolute comes mainly from India. First the flowers are processed to create a concrete before being transformed into an absolute.Picked at dawn, jasmine grandiflorum, brings a green, fruity jasmine note to fragrance.

HOUSE SECRETS

Jardins de Bagatelle blossoms over a tuberose base. This raw material also has aphrodisiac powers.
In the time of Louis XVI, its scent filled the air in the King's court to identify any unwed pregnant women: these women would faint under the effect of this poisonous flower!
