Part tribute, part innovation, Shalimar Millésime Vanilla Planifolia adopts the graphic codes of the bottle on a pedestal created by Raymond Guerlain in 1925. The famous “bat” label is paired with typography in Art Deco-inspired geometric lines. A leather tie encircles the neck: an evocation of the fragrance notes of the Vanilla Planifolia tincture that distinguishes this unique composition.
Sensual, delicious, overdosed
A tribute to vanilla. An essential raw ingredient in the famous Guerlinade and the key note in Shalimar’s legendary fragrance trail, vanilla is a Guerlain favourite.
In this limited edition, Madagascan Vanilla Planifolia is beautifully enhanced by the perfumers in unprecedented ways:
The vanilla tincture exudes a woody, slightly leathery and spicy note. This ancestral know-how unique to Guerlain makes it possible to extract vanilla’s fragrance molecules by macerating it in alcohol from organic farming.
The vanilla extract exudes a sensual, gourmand note. This method makes it possible to extract the fragrance molecules by macerating and percolating the pods sourced from Madagascar.

It sublimates the gourmand and sensual facets of vanilla. Vanilla extract is obtained by the maceration and the percolation of the pods coming coming from Madagascar.
Entirely produced in Guerlain’s factories, the vanilla tincture is made from pods from organic farming of exceptional quality. Sourced from Madagascar, they are received fresh at the Orphin plant and then cut into pieces by hand using a cutter – a tool that Jacques Guerlain was already using when Shalimar was created... Finally, they are left to macerate in wheat alcohol from organic farming for several months. This process allows them to develop the unique richness of their aromas.
