Guerlain unveils its new Exceptional Rendezvous in honour of Qixi, or Lunar Valentine’s Day, the legendary Chinese celebration dedicated to love. For this first Millésime, Guerlain has entrusted Lucie Touré, a French artist whose art combines needlepoint and paper-cutting techniques, with the creation of a romantic adornment for its emblematic Bee Bottle, dressed in yellow gold for the occasion. This exceptional piece welcomes the delicate fragrance Amour Céleste, a refined floral Eau de Parfum exclusively dedicated to this rendezvous.

AMOUR CÉLESTE, AN ODE TO THE POETRY OF THE SENSES

Delphine Jelk, Guerlain Perfume Creator Director, has created Amour Céleste, an olfactory symphony where the romanticism of flowers meets the dazzling freshness of citrus fruits. Subtle and refined, the fragrance opens with a luminous prelude of bergamot and orange. It then reveals a floral heart where osmanthus, with its fruity and leathery facets, combines with the intensity of Sambac jasmine and the honeyed nuances of rose. The journey concludes with notes of ambergris and smoked tea to create a mysterious, lingering trail. An olfactory poem dedicated to those who aspire to capture the essence of eternal love.

LUCIE TOURÉ, A PAPER VIRTUOSO

Renowned for her unique approach to craft, which combines embroidery, weaving and jewellery techniques applied to paper, Lucie Touré embodies the avant-garde of textile and paper design in France. A graduate of the École Duperré and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, this paper-folding virtuoso honed her skills in the capital’s most prestigious studios before setting up her own in the heart of Paris in 2018. Her highly sensitive work reflects a relentless quest for perfection, in which every material - pearls, crystals, paper, threads - is chosen with the utmost care.

THE DELICACY AND REFINEMENT OF A RED & GOLD BOUQUET

With a narrative that resonates with love and celebration, Lucie Touré has created a composition that looks like a bouquet offered to whisper ‘I love you’, in which red and gold flowers and hearts intertwine harmoniously. In the centre, a majestic corolla unfurls, surrounded by three miniature flowers that subtly enhance the whole. Like a precious jewel, a pendant adorned with two tiny hearts completes this poetic creation, while a ribbon bow adorned with a final heart breathes a precious couture spirit to the whole piece.

FOLDING, CUTTING AND JEWELLERY TO FOSTER LOVE

An adornment treated like a jewel, without embroidery, but with the meticulous attention to detail of a goldsmith. A delicate assembly of papers enhanced by techniques inspired by jewellery. Each element first comes to life through meticulously crafted drawings, then cut out with extreme precision. The carmine colour paper is then gilded with copper leaf, and the different layers of petals are superimposed with infinite care. Finally, each piece is sealed with a faceted red glass bead. A harmonious balance between technical precision and poetic craftsmanship.

THE 30ML NOMAD AND REFILLABLE SPRAY BOTTLE

This limited and numbered edition of 1,730 pieces of 125mL is presented with a 30mL travel spray and a funnel to take the fragrance with you in all circumstances.
