Insolence is part of Guerlain’s Legendary fragrance collection. A collection made of emblematic fragrances, composed for more than a century by 5 generations of Perfumers. These mythical pioneer perfumes compose a unique olfactive library, that the Maison Guerlain endeavors to preserve.
Insolence is a spark in the eyes, an intrepid smile. Insolence is a careless grace, an ironic elegance, an amused silence. Created in 2006, Insolence celebrates this surprising, free and daring femininity. An impertinent creation with powder hints which is built around a floral violet and iris duo with orange blossom.
Designed by Raymond Guerlain, its iconic “inverted heart” bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau. Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, evokes the delicate romanticism of this perfumery masterpiece and represented a real technical feat at the time.

A legend of love without limits, powdered with violet
A sensual potion, this floral, fruity fragrance immediately transports you to the heart of the perfume. Combining red fruit notes with feminine violet and orange blossom, alongside velvety and luxurious iris, its accord is sultry and voluptuous.
VIOLET ACCORD
As violet is a “mute” flower that doesn’t release an extract, our violet accord is an original recreation of violet’s floral, powdery scent made by Guerlain perfumers.
IRIS
A precious material, the iris deserves its nickname as the "blue gold" of perfumery, exhaling a refined, faceted fragrance with powdery, woody accents. At Guerlain, iris is a key ingredient of “Guerlinade”. Across time periods, this flower has made its mark on some of the House's most legendary compositions.
ORANGE BLOSSOM
Orange blossom, obtained via extraction to create an absolute, gives off sunny, soft and sensual floral notes.

HOUSE SECRETS
The Eau de Parfum Insolence showcases an overdosed, high-voltage violet: a triumphant violet that registers at the opposite end of the spectrum from the shy whisper usually used to treat this flower in half-shades and shadows. This dazzling violet rubs shoulders with a timeless, chic and feminine iris. Insolence also marks the first time that Guerlain uses berries in a composition.
