A sumptuous, woody interpretation of the rose

The rose asserts itself to entice the senses. Tinted with a burning shade of deep pink - like a drop of blood, armed with sharp thorns and a bewildering temper, the rose has never been so enticing.

In this woody-floral, the undertones offer the rose ever more vibrancy. Unexpected notes of honey and patchouli add even further mystery.

The fragrance artist’s touch

Rose pink turns to blood red, heightened by a sharply aldehydic, metallic note and galvanized by the power of the undergrowth notes.

This proud, powerful rose is reminiscent of Carmen, heroine of the eponymous opera, striding forward, flower in mouth and head held high. A passionate lover, she hides a dagger in her back, ready to cut right to the heart.

Rose

Hand-picked in Turkey and Italy, the Damascena rose characterizes the trail of Rose Barbare. It plays here in excess, as an essence with fruity notes of lychee and raspberry and as an absolute with mellower honeyed facets.

It takes four to five tons of Damascena rose petals to obtain a liter of its essence.

Cherished material used in the Guerlinade, the “Queen of Flowers” asserts herself in legendary compositions such as Nahéma and La Petite Robe Noire.
