ABEILLE ROYALE YOUTH RITUAL TO REPAIR THE VISIBLE SIGNS OF AGEING

A youth ritual made of the Youth Watery Oil Serum and 2 complementary care products enriched with the youthful repairing powers of honey.

Result of 15 years of research and relying on 9 patents and 9 publications, the new-generation Youth Watery Oil Serum draws its repairing power from three honeys produced by the black bee, a species selected for its rarity and the power of its honeys. Thanks to its deep diffusion texture¹, the serum targets the heart of the epidermis. It multiplies skin’s self-repair mechanisms. Deeply repaired¹, skin regains plumpness and radiance while wrinkles are visibly filled. Light and universal, the exclusive² formula is infused with melt-in micro-beads and contains 99% naturally-derived ingredients³.

Inspired by clinical honey bandages, the Honey Treatment Day Cream and the Night-Taping Treatment target visible signs of ageing for advanced youth repair such as wrinkles, firmness, skin sagging and radiance.

REPAIR THE SIGNS OF AGEING AT ITS FOUNDATIONS

15 YEARS OF RESEARCH, 9 PATENTS, 9 PUBLICATIONS

SKIN THAT REPAIRS POORLY AGES VISIBLY

Abeille Royale was brought to life by an intuition: the biological parallel between treatment mechanisms and those that repair the signs of ageing. The Guerlain technology draws on the repairing powers of honey, used for millennia as healing dressings, to develop a formula capable of targeting the skin’s self-repair mechanisms.

THE REPAIRING CONCENTRATE OF 3 BLACK BEE HONEYS

Thanks to an exclusive partnership with Restore-EQ4, a research centre specialised in rejuvenation science, Guerlain research has demonstrated the exceptional efficacy of its 3 Black Bee honeys. Selected among 300 honey samples analyzed, they help to stimulate fundamental mechanisms implied in skin repair.

FOR THE FIRST TIME¹, AN EXCLUSIVE ALCHEMY OF THREE BLACK BEE HONEYS AND ROYAL JELLY

Formulated with 99% naturally-derived ingredients², the Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil Serum is enriched with an alchemy of three black bee honeys selected by Guerlain research. These honeys are sourced from exclusive channels.

THE BLACK BEE, ENDEMIC TO WESTERN EUROPE

Across millennia, the Black Bee has succeeded in adapting to its environment thanks to its unique morphological characteristics, including its dark colour and resilience. These attributes allow it to produce honeys of the highest quality. Currently endangered, just a few of the world’s colonies survive which Guerlain research has managed to identify.

HONEY FROM OUESSANT ISLAND, BRITTANY, FRANCE

Just 18 km off the coast of Brittany, Ouessant Island, a UNESCO reserve, is a remote ecosystem. Endemic to the island, the Black Bee produces honey with exceptional properties benefiting from an abundance of amino acids, polyphenols and trace elements. Guerlain research has demonstrated that this honey helps to stimulate a marker of skin renewal by 50%¹.

HONEY FROM CONNEMARA LANDS, IRELAND,

On the West coast of Ireland, in remote, mountainous regions, Guerlain selected a repairing Black Bee honey with exceptional anti-ageing powers. This honey helps to increase natural hyaluronic acid production in the skin cells by 96%¹.

HONEY FROM THE WILD FORESTS OF TRØGSTAD, NORWAY

Deep within the wild forests of Norway lies a remote area home to the precious Black Bee whose honey has been selected by Guerlain for its restorative powers. This honey helps to stimulate an anti-ageing marker of repair in the skin cells by 87%¹.

EXCLUSIVE ROYAL JELLY

Produced in very little quantities, royal jelly is the hive’s rarest and most precious substance able to transform an ordinary bee into a queen with exceptional vitality. To guarantee the high quality and traceability of its royal jelly, Guerlain has developed its own exclusive channels in France. This royal jelly is a natural source of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and vitamins.

AN EXCLUSIVE DEEP DIFFUSION TEXTURE¹

Developed with the inimitable formulatory savoir-faire of the Guerlain laboratories, the Youth Watery Oil Serum’s proven deep diffusion¹ texture reaches the heart of the epidermis for a powerful age-defying action from the first drops. Its light, universal texture infused with melt-in micro-beads instantly fuses with the skin for deep¹ and visible repair.

THE PLUMPING APPLICATION TECHNIQUE BY GUERLAIN SPA FACIALISTS

Apply in the morning Honey Treatment Day Cream and in the evening Night-Taping Treatment to the face and neck after Youth Watery Oil Serum. Follow the Guerlain skincare facialists’ application technique.

Step 1: gently shake the bottle.
Step 2: take the equivalent of a pipette full, around 10 drops, and warm in the palms of your hands.
Step 3: using the palms of your hands, smooth into the skin, starting in the middle of the face and moving outwards.
Step 4: replump by making fists with your hands, placing them on your cheeks, then making upward rotating movements.
