Guerlain research has demonstrated that biophoton emission by skin cells varies with age, revealing a key indicator of youth.
Building on 20 years’ expertise in orchids and cell ageing, the Orchidarium’s experts have identified an exceptional orchid: the Gold Nobile. Endemic to the Himalayan region, it has the ability to combine several photosynthesis mechanisms to turn the sun’s light into energy.
This energy is captured via a biotechnological process¹ to create the Gold Nobile technology. It helps to restore biophoton emission by old cells to a level approaching that of young cells², promotes the cell rejuvenation process and helps to reestablish an ideal structure for light diffusion, while reducing age-related “light traps”³.

GUERLAIN SPA FACIALISTS’ SIGNATURE TECHNIQUE TO REVIVE THE PRODIGIOUS RADIANCE OF YOUTH

1. ACTIVATION: Gently shake the bottle to suspend the microspheres at the heart of the light-activating solution.

2. SENSORY APPLICATION: Dispense The Goldessence in the palm of the hand, then apply to the face in broad circular movements, working outwards, not forgetting the neck.

3. DRAINAGE: Applying light pressure with the edge of the index finger, smooth the features from the middle of the face outwards, line by line, working upwards. Finish with a drainage movement along the neck to boost radiance.
