Tonka bean reveals its most sublime facets, all at once almondy, powdery, vanilla-toned, woody, honeyed and balmy. In this woody-oriental, it reaches the pinnacle of its addictive appeal.

Enlivened by bitter almond and vanilla, its smooth accents and imperial facets are charmingly teased by the aromatic freshness of rosemary.

Tonka Impériale evokes the opulence of the Second Empire, as transcribed on canvas in great splendour by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. These Parisian celebrations gave Guerlain a certain taste for all things gold and baroque.

The Tonka tree produces a precious fruit whose renowned beans are dried and crushed in order to extract the absolute.
