Zelam Lim, an artist from Shanghai, transforms cities through dreamlike murals, where nature reclaims its rights over concrete.
For his first collaboration with Guerlain, he interprets the power of the bee in a vibrant work that echoes the repairing beauty of the Youth Watery Oil Serum.
Created in Shanghai’s street art district, this mural inspired an exclusive pattern for the limited-edition bottle.

Across millennia, the Black Bee has succeeded in adapting to its environment thanks to its unique morphological characteristics, including its dark colour and resilience. These attributes allow it to produce honeys of the highest quality. Currently endangered, just a few of the world’s colonies survive which Guerlain research has managed to identify.
Just 18 km off the coast of Brittany, Ouessant Island, a UNESCO reserve, is a remote ecosystem. Endemic to the island, the Black Bee produces honey with exceptional properties benefiting from an abundance of amino acids, polyphenols and trace elements. Guerlain research has demonstrated that this honey helps to stimulate a marker of skin renewal by 50%¹.

Produced in very little quantities, royal jelly is the hive’s rarest and most precious substance able to transform an ordinary bee into a queen with exceptional vitality. To guarantee the high quality and traceability of its royal jelly, Guerlain has developed its own exclusive channels in France. This royal jelly is a natural source of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and vitamins.
Step 1: gently shake the bottle.
Step 2: take the equivalent of a pipette full, around 10 drops, and warm in the palms of your hands.
Step 3: using the palms of your hands, smooth into the skin, starting in the middle of the face and moving outwards.
Step 4: replump by making fists with your hands, placing them on your cheeks, then making upward rotating movements.
