Across millennia, the Black Bee has succeeded in adapting to its environment thanks to its unique morphological characteristics, including its dark colour and resilience. These attributes allow it to produce honeys of the highest quality. Currently endangered, just a few of the world’s colonies survive which Guerlain research has managed to identify.
Just 18 km off the coast of Brittany, Ouessant Island, a UNESCO reserve, is a remote ecosystem. Endemic to the island, the Black Bee produces honey with exceptional properties benefiting from an abundance of amino acids, polyphenols and trace elements. This royal jelly is a natural source of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and vitamins.
Step 1: gently shake the bottle.
Step 2: take the equivalent of a pipette full, around 10 drops, and warm in the palms of your hands.
Step 3: using the palms of your hands, smooth into the skin, starting in the middle of the face and moving outwards.
Step 4: replump by making fists with your hands, placing them on your cheeks, then making upward rotating movements.
