GUERLAIN FACIALIST EXPERTISE

Without a brush - Relax

wake up and relieve tension in the scalp

Using your fingertips, make small back-and-forth movements to stretch the skin from the scalp towards the back of the head before releasing the pressure. Start with the midline before repeating this technique on either side of the skull, parting by parting.

Soothe

energise and de-stress the scalp

With your fingers interlaced, place your hands on either side of the scalp. Gently lift the skin with your fingertips, moving your fingers towards the centre of the skull before releasing. Start with the midline before repeating this technique on either side of the skull, parting by parting.

Stimulate

activate and encourage microcirculation

With your hands in a pincer motion, use your fingertips to stimulate the entire scalp with light, brisk pinching movements.

Relax

relax and calm the scalp

Use a back-and-forth movement (or a wave-like/ rocking motion) to relax the scalp. Start with the midline before repeating this technique on either side of the skull, parting by parting.

Detoxify

oxygenate and revitalise the scalp

Parting by parting, remove any impurities from the entire scalp in wide circles, trying to use all the pins on the brush. Start at the hairline on the forehead and work towards the back of the head.

Stimulate

activate microcirculation and tone the scalp

Parting by parting, vigorously rub the entire skull to stimulate microcirculation. Mainly use the raised edge of the brush.

Application and Self-Massage Mask

1. Apply (from the scalp to the ends)

Mix the two textures in the palm of your hand. Apply to washed and towel-dried hair, working from the scalp through to the ends. Leave to work for 10 minutes.

2. Tone (mobilising the skin)

To boost microcirculation during this time, place your hands in a pincer movement with your fingers spread apart and place your fingertips on either side of the front of the scalp. Use rotating motions without moving your fingertips. Use the same motion on the back of the skull.

3. Stimulate (gently stretch)
To stimulate the vitality of the hair root, use your fingers to comb through the hair, passing both hands between the hair, starting from the front of the head and working backwards, sliding the fingertips over the scalp. Then grab the hair and gently pull on it, loosening the roots.
