Guerlain's Bee Ambassador
On the occasion of World Bee Day, celebrated on May 20th, Guerlain announced the appointment of artist, filmmaker, and actress Charlotte Le Bon as its new Bee Ambassador—a tailor-made role that supports the Maison’s long-standing commitment to bee conservation, initiated in 2010.

A partnership based on shared values

Charlotte Le Bon grew up in the Laurentians, a region of breathtaking beauty north of Montreal, where lakes and forests create a preserved natural environment. It was there that she developed a deep, personal connection with nature—one that led her to return and settle in the area in 2020.

A multidisciplinary and accomplished artist, she pays tribute to the beauty of the living world through film, painting, drawing, and photography. Her creative approach—free, diverse, and deeply rooted in nature—resonates with Guerlain’s philosophy, which has been committed to biodiversity preservation for over 15 years.

An environmental commitment

Her environmental commitment also led her to lend her voice to the documentary Anthropocene: The Human Epoch, directed by Edward Burtynsky, Nicholas de Pencier, and Jennifer Baichwal (2018), which raises awareness about the impact of human activity on the planet.

“Nature holds limitless evocative power—it is both my refuge and my muse. I am incredibly proud to become Bee Ambassador for Maison Guerlain, a role that will allow me to share this sensibility with a wider audience, especially regarding bees, whose role in our ecosystems is absolutely essential.”

The bee, Guerlain's symbol & guardian of biodiversity

The bee has continued to inspire and guide Guerlain since it first came to rest on the Maison’s iconic bottle in 1853. Through its diversity – more than 20,000 species worldwide, in an infinite palette of shapes and colours – it embodies this abundant, inventive and vibrant Nature that fosters Guerlain creations.

It is also – and above all – an exceptional pollinator, vital to the reproduction of numerous plants, along with the food security of our planet.

Charlotte Le Bon,
an active role

As Bee Ambassador, Charlotte Le Bon is taking part in Guerlain’s new partnership with the Space For Life Foundation. Moreover, she playes an active role in other Guerlain initiatives on behalf of bees, through immersive experiences, artistic events and inspiring messages, reflecting the values she shares with the Maison.

“Guerlain has always collaborated with artists who passionately embody its values of authenticity, commitment and excellence. I am therefore delighted to welcome Charlotte Le Bon to our family. She is a fascinating woman whose eye, singularity and sensibility will support – in an inspiring and spirited way – our mission for a future that is more respectful towards the living world.”
