Begüm Khan has imagined an enchanting bee-flower duo. At the heart of an asymmetric eminently poetic design, the bee is majestically showcased by 37 sparkling hand-set pavé gems. She has crafted this decoration in 24-carat gold-plated bronze. Each adornment is hand-crafted in the artist’s Istanbul ateliers. Meticulous artistic craftsmanship that makes each piece unique.
This precious rendezvous is the result of a shared inspiration drawn from the perfect beauty of nature. This year, the two Houses explore together the sublimation of bestiary. Symbol of the House since 1853, the bee is an exceptional pollinator, particularly offering the world the finest flowers that give perfumers the richest of palettes to compose extraordinary fragrances. The iconic Bee Bottle is adorned in an imperial bee set at the heart of a voluptuous and sparkling flower.
Begüm Kiroglu, jewellery designer, grew up in a family of Ottoman art collectors. Highly inspired by the Orient and the treasures of Istanbul, she created her own jewellery brand in 2012, at the crossroads of art, design and fashion. Begüm Khan’s design pieces bring to life her bestiary filled with real and imaginary animals that she chooses for their appearance and their symbolism. She mainly works with stones or crystals on a bronze or gold mount using a pavé setting technique in her ateliers in Istanbul.
