ORCHID LONGEVITYᵀᴹ augmented technology capable of activating 10 longevity pathways¹

Cellular youth relies on biological mechanisms known as “longevity pathways” that weaken over time.
After 20 years’ research, Guerlain has demonstrated its ability to target a key marker of skin ageing: MAMs, dynamic youthful connections at the heart of 9 longevity pathways¹.

Encapsulated in liposome vectors for the first time, ORCHID LONGEVITYᵀᴹ technology has been augmented by a Phagoactive, making it possible to target a tenth longevity pathway²: mitophagy, the process of recycling damaged or ageing mitochondria².

Anticipating cells’ needs, it helps to increase the mitochondria’s defence capabilities by 20%² to prevent damage and helps to reactivate their renewal by 21%² when they have deteriorated.
Cell vitality is revived², revealing a skin full of youth.

The ultimate alliance of nature and science

Vanda coerulea: a wonder of longevity, a jewel of the Guerlain Orchidarium®

Vanda coerulea stands out among more than 30,000 orchid species for its exceptional longevity. Capable of living for over one hundred years, it is known as “the flower of ten thousand generations”. An epiphyte, it overhangs the canopy, wrapping its gigantic network of roots, which can reach more than ten metres long, around the tree trunks.
Its impressive biomass and wealth of phytochemicals have fascinated the Guerlain Orchidarium®’s researchers for 16 years. They have identified more than 35 compounds of interest¹ in it, which have been the subject of over ten scientific publications.

Billions of liposomes for amplified diffusion

Augmented ORCHID LONGEVITY™ technology is encapsulated at the heart of billions of liposomes. Real vectorisation systems, they enhance diffusion in skin by up to 67%¹. Enveloped in a lipidic bilayer with a hydrophilic core, these microspheres have been designed using a biomimetic approach. They fuse with the skin’s lipids for a better diffusion and a targeted efficacy of the active ingredients at the heart of the epidermis.

The longevity protocol inspired by Guerlain Spa facialist expertise

Sensory Application
1. SHAPE: Hands crossed, drain the jawline with your thumbs through firm yet fluid motions, promoting radiance and sculpting contours.
2. LIFT: Perform upward, energizing strokes, to lift the cheeks and mouth area. This helps smooth wrinkles and reveal your natural glow.
3. SMOOTH: With alternate uplifting movements, awaken the gaze and smooth crow’s feet lines.
4. STRETCH: Energize facial muscles with opposite strokes, to help improve the oval of the face.

WHAT MAKES THE LONGEVITY CONCENTRATE DIFFERENT FROM A STANDARD ANTI-AGEING SERUM?
The Longevity Concentrate is the culmination of 20 years of Guerlain research into cellular longevity. More than targeting the visible signs of ageing, it helps maintain the skin’s youthful functions over time by acting at the heart of cellular youth mechanisms. Powered by augmented ORCHID LONGEVITY™ technology, capable of targeting 10 longevity pathways, it helps correct the major signs of ageing, for skin that looks younger for longer.
WHAT KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS GIVE THE LONGEVITY CONCENTRATE ITS SKIN LONGEVITY PROPERTIES?
Formulated with 95% naturally-derived ingredients, The Longevity Concentrate captures the longevity power of the Vanda coerulea orchid, concentrated in the patent filed ORCHID LONGEVITY™ technology. Augmented by a Phagoactive, this technology targets 10 longevity pathways. Its velvety, filling texture is also enriched with a multi-patented active ingredient complex, composed of two anti-ageing tensing and filling actives, and a duo of hyaluronic acids of high and low molecular weights.
HOW DOES THE LONGEVITY CONCENTRATE FIT INTO A COMPLETE ANTI-AGEING SKINCARE ROUTINE?
The Longevity Concentrate is a key step in the Orchidée Impériale routine. Applied morning and evening, after The Essence-Lotion and before The Longevity Cream and The Molecular Eye Concentrate, it delivers expert action on skin density while complementing the routine’s benefits for firmness, plumpness, radiance and facial contours.
