Jasmin Bonheur unveils a colourful jasmine tinted with joyous nuances—radiant orange with an apricot note, vibrant violet with powdery iris and tender pink with rose—in an artistic limited edition inspired by the dazzling palette of Henri Matisse. A born painter of happiness and sublime master of colour, Henri Matisse was one of the greatest artistic minds of the 20th century. Guerlain has collaborated with Maison Matisse—an institution founded by one of the painter’s great-grandsons, Jean-Matthieu Matisse—to celebrate the art of happiness. Inspired by Henri Matisse’s work, One Thousand and One Nights, this Maison Matisse precious edition of Jasmin Bonheur transforms its case and the plate on its stopper into the most exquisite adornment. Limited edition of 1,000 bottles available worldwide.

MAISON MATISSE EDITION

Adorning the Jasmin Bonheur bottle, the Maison Matisse Edition exceptional plate playfully presents an embossed version of the Guerlain-exclusive motif, created by Maison Matisse, which appears as if painted onto the ceramic surface. The Jasmin Bonheur Maison Matisse Edition case is decorated with this same motif to exalt the artist’s most iconic forms and colours.

A MOTIF CREATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR GUERLAIN

In 1950, Henri Matisse completed his great work, One Thousand and One Nights, a true celebration of happiness through colour. This multi-panel piece became part of the artist’s second period, during which he arranged gouache-painted paper strips as if sculpting colour itself. Faithfully inspired by this work, the motif developed by Maison Matisse exclusively for Guerlain is designed as an olfactory portrait of Jasmin Bonheur. Hearts, jasmine blossoms and leaves abound in this vibrant composition imbued with the scent of contemplation.

MAISON MATISSE

Founded in 2019 by some members of the Henri Matisse’s family with the aim of celebrating, passing on and sharing the artist’s values, Maison Matisse presents collections of accessories and furniture by emerging and renowned contemporary designers. As a trailblazer of Fauvism, Henri Matisse favoured large flat tints of pure, vivid colour. “Drawn directly into colour”, as the artist puts it, his outstanding paintings and paper collages exude an irresistible joie de vivre.
