As the year draws to a close, French sculptor Géraldine Gonzalez invites the iconic Bee Bottle into her enchanted, luminous world. The famous bottle has been reinvented as a masterly, previously unseen Exceptional Art Piece, offering the possibility of being illuminated for the first time. For the occasion, the Exceptional Piece contains Imagine Guerlain Extrait de Parfum, the most precious version of this intoxicating scent.
The Exceptional Piece contains Imagine Guerlain in its Extrait de Parfum version to celebrate the festive season in style. Exclusive and timeless, the fragrance opens with a trail of majestic floral notes and a hint of citrus orange. It reveals vibrant woody notes in the base, making it an intense fragrance full of magic, with a warm, sensual composition.
Inspired by the exuberance and preciousness of the Baroque movement, Géraldine Gonzalez is also known as the ”sculptress of the light”. For each of her creations, she selects materials that reflect or allow light to pass through - metal, mother-of-pearl, crystal, sequins, paper - and enjoys playing with transparency and lightness. Her singular, poetic pieces, handcrafted in her Parisian studio, create an atmosphere of weightlessness and seem to emerge from a veritable fantastic garden.
This Exceptional Art Piece celebrates the magic of the festive season in all its majesty. The Bee Bottle is set on a sumptuous crescent moon in hand-hammered metal, adorned with glass and crystal pearls, and set off by three resplendent stars gilded in fine gold. Unprecedented in many ways, the piece can be illuminated, giving it a magical, incandescent dimension. The mirrored base on which the piece stands enhances the play of lights and reflections.
“INSPIRATION OFTEN COMES FROM MY DREAMS, FROM WONDER, FROM LIGHT, AND FROM THE NIGHT. THE BEE BOTTLE IS AN ENDLESS SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR ME, AND I HAVE CAPTURED THE VERY ESSENCE OF MY VISION IN THIS LUMINOUS SCULPTURE.”
GÉRALDINE GONZALEZ
Each of the 64 pieces in this limited edition has been handcrafted in Géraldine Gonzalez’s Parisian workshop, using exceptional craftsmanship that requires long hours of work. It all starts with a dream: Géraldine Gonzalez enjoys designing her future creations by letting her imagination run wild. Then comes the essential stage of sketching on paper, followed by three-dimensional modelling using wire, beads or paper. The choice of final materials is then made naturally as the creation progresses.
