An eternal source of inspiration, the Bee turns into the most magical of gifts. Of those that fire up our imagination and invite us to dream of the fairyland… For its 2022 Millesime, L’Atelier Truscelli imagined a sumptuous bee-shaped gold-plated jewel, handset with more than 150 sparkling crystals and trimmed with a trail of shining stars.
02 A SHIMMERING TRAIL
The richness of noble flowers, the enveloping warmth of woods… With Imagine Guerlain, Thierry Wasser, the House’s Master Perfumer, has distilled the fragrant quintessence of Guerlain’s imaginary world to compose the exclusive eau de parfum. The orange blossom note carries all the way to the stars a trail whose luminous softness contrasts with its magical intensity, blending precious sandalwood with delicious benzoin resin.
03 IMAGINING THE GUERLAIN BEE AS A MAGICAL JEWEL
To adorn the iconic Bee Bottle by Pochet du Courval, Francesco Truscelli has imagined a sumptuous bee-shaped jewel, handset with more than 150 sparkling crystals, trimmed with a trail of shining stars. This fabulous Bee he has designed for Guerlain is more than a jewel: a genuine gift of friendship, poetic, a tribute to the bee, both the emblem and source of inspiration for Guerlain.
04 A FLIGHT OF HIGH-JEWELLERY
A masterpiece of precision and refinement fashioned by L’Atelier Truscelli, using the techniques of high jewellery. After the lost-wax casting step, a complex technique to fashion precious metals, the bee is polished several times before being set with crystals. A high-precision task during which the jeweller handsets sparkling crystals. The piece is then gold-plated and fine chains, like a trail of shining stars, are attached to the glittering jewel-bee.
05 FRANCESCO TRUSCELLI, THE EMOTION OF JEWELLERY
Francesco Truscelli is a creator of emotions specialising in bespoke pieces. A master of his craft, he produces unique pieces bound with history that are able to forge links between generations. The Bee motif, the House’s emblem, spoke deeply to Francesco Truscelli’s imagination: “For me, there is a very strong connection between bees and jewellery. They are hard-working, meticulous, discreet like jewellers. As for the geometric shape of the honeycombs, it is a constant source of inspiration for jewellery designers. And what can I say about honey! It’s molten gold!”
