Le Parfum du 68 The turtle bottle

By Baccarat House

Intensity

description

The fragrance inside is a unique creation: an Extrait de Parfum composed by Thierry Wasser that pays tribute to the legendary boutique located at 68, avenue des Champs-Elysées. The spicy, woody fragrance plays on the contrasts between cool and hot spices. The floral heart pulsates with the majesty of everlasting flower, while tonka bean, benzoin and incense, tinged with leather notes, envelop the fragrance in a trail that is utterly Guerlain.

Everlasting flower is at the centre of the warm, spicy base note, while osmanthus lends the fragrance a fruity heart note that is energized by a refreshing mandarin top note.

perfumers secret

1913, Guerlain moved his boutique to the Champs-Elysées. To celebrate the opening of his new boutique, Jacques Guerlain created Parfum des Champs-Elysées for his Parisian admirers. The fragrance came in a magnificent turtle-shaped bottle in Baccarat crystal, a witty allusion to the exceedingly slow pace of construction.
A century later, Guerlain continues to reinvent itself and reinterprets the mythical turtle bottle, thanks to the restoration of a 100-year-old Baccarat mould.
