A love of perfume and art have been at the heart of Guerlain since 1828. The Maison has continuously sought out fresh talent to craft fragrant creations that never fail to surprise. Yet another timeless encounter occurred when Guerlain met French contemporary artist Claudine Drai, in a full immersion of the senses.
02 "PERFUME IS A METAPHOR FOR THE INVISIBLE"
An immersion in a pure, immaculate white, the colour that best embodies the essence of Claudine Drai's work. Suspended at the boundary between dream and reality, the artist’s pristine, ethereal white evokes the ineffable magic of Guerlain’s sillages, resulting in L’Heure Blanche. French fine artist Claudine Drai examines the relationships between the material and the immaterial, drawing and sculpture, concrete lines and the diaphanous, apparition and disappearance, in a body of work set alongside rhythm, symbols, words, and fragrances.

03 "THE SOUL
OF TIME"
The Maison Guerlain and Claudine Drai met in 2018 at the Soul of Time exhibition on display at 68 Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris, for which the artist crafted a maze-like journey through the poetry of her paper pieces, shadowed by hazy silhouettes and abstract forms. For the event, perfumers Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser composed an impalpable sillage inspired by the artist’s world.
04 L'HEURE BLANCHE
Inspired by the artist’s unique poetic vision following a tour of her studio, Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser were instinctively drawn to materials evocative of pure white: milky notes, musk, and iris to mirror the idea of paper sculpture. Delphine Jelk immersed herself in the artist’s inner landscape: "Claudine Drai's work instantly resonated with me. This ultra-white world, a sense of intense softness, figurines of women or angels (who can tell which?), somewhere between dream and reality". This pure, celestial composition opens with a white floral accord that unfolds endlessly under a scintillating burst of aquatic notes, enveloped by smooth milky notes and dusted down with powdery iris, musk, and white amber. The perfume’s white musk heart accord is an original creation composed of synthetic raw materials, reminiscent of a velvety soft, sensual skin scent.

GUERLAIN NAME
This heaven-sent scent is enclosed in a delicate sheath. In an exclusive design, the iconic Bee Bottle is coated in a bisque-style matte white to elevate this musky floral Eau de Parfum. A symbol of the Guerlain legacy since 1853, the bottles continue to be made by Pochet du Courval, the Maison's historic glassmaker. The "Dames de Table" specialists in the Guerlain ateliers adorn each bottle with a delicate silk ribbon enclosing a secret message.
