La Petite Robe Noire

by Baccarat and Kuntzel+Deygas

A bottle designed by Artists for an ultimate concentration

While the launch of La Petite Robe Noire celebrated the iconic heart-shaped bottle by Guerlain, some vintage bottles in Baccarat crystal were found intact in the House archives. These little treasures were entrusted with designers Kuntzel+Deygas, who reinvent the mischievous Parisian woman revealed by La Petite Robe Noire. In an irresistible leap, she spins around and takes off her dress, step by step, on the three sides of the bottle, leaving only her long black train behind her. Then, the craftsmen of the Baccarat ateliers took over to give life to the drawing by carefully applying black enamel pigments to the bottle. A technique carried out exclusively by hand for a tailor-made outline.
Only 37 numbered bottles worldwide.

In its Extract form, La Petite Robe Noire is more charming than ever. Black tea, patchouli and black cherry strut by, audaciously escorted by a bold guerlinade. This intensified drydown enhances the richness of iris, the velvety nature of vanilla and the addictive indulgence of tonka bean with its almond accents

Founded in 1764, Baccarat played a decisive role in the art of manufacturing crystal perfume bottles. In 1912, the crystal manufacturer developed the iconic heart-shaped bottle for Guerlain. 100 years later, it fine-tunes its original creation with a sublime handcrafted black enamel decoration, heated in the oven and then polished in its ateliers.
